If you are as crazy about ice cream as I am then you will love Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream. Nothing beats homemade style premium ice cream. Henry is well known for his high quality, unique, and sometimes intense flavors of ice cream.

How does he do it? Henry says, The ice cream is made from 16% butterfat mix from Schepps Dairy. I then add only the finest flavors, fruits and other natural ingredients to complete the product. I then shock the ice cream at -20 degrees in a special freezer. The colder the temperature the better the ice cream, because it prevents ice crystals from forming.”

Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream has won numerous awards over its twenty-five year history (eighteen of those years in Plano). In 2002, D Magazine voted them best ice cream in the metroplex. They have been awarded the Forrest Mock National Ice Cream Award in 2005 as well as being name the official ice cream of the state of Texas that same year. More recently in 2010, Henry won four awards at the National Ice Cream Awards in Nashville. One of these awards was third prize for the Best New Flavor of the Year. The new flavor is called Angel. It has a rich praline background with a caramel swirl, Angel food pieces, and chocolate covered krispies. Does that sound awesome or what.

If you are an ice cream lover you owe it to yourself to head over to Henry’s Heavenly… uhh… I mean Homemade Ice Cream in Plano.
