If you haven’t settled your plans for Valentine’s Day then I have a great suggestion for you. Take your valentine out to or Chocolate Secrets or at least pick them up a yummy treat from there. Chocolate Secrets has won the Best Chocolate Fix from D Magazine and Best Chocolate Indulgence from the Dallas Observer. The only catch is that their goodies are pretty pricey. But hey it’s Valentines Day. Do it right if you can.
There’s lots to choose from at Chocolate Secrets. If your man is a die hard Texan you might want to get him gourmet chocolate cowboy boot ($19.50) or a chocolate in the shape of the state of Texas ($12.50) which you can get creamy style, crunchy, or best yet with a jalapeno kick.
Guys you might want to consider getting your sweetheart a cake for two. This is a petite two-layer cake decorated with red and white hearts and Chocolate Secret’s signature swirls ($40.00).Or you may want to choose several items from Executive Pastry Chef & Chocalatier, Kate Grover’s hand painted collection of chocolates which comes in fifteen flavors: lavender caramel, sunflower praline, raspberry, coconut lime, ancho chili, absinthe, cool mint, peanut butter & jelly, pumpkin spice, sea salt caramel, wild strawberry, strawberry balsamic, Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean, and orange liquer.
Chocolate Secrets also has lots of great wine, ambience, and live music on the weekends. You can even sigh up for French Lessons with the Alliance Francaise de Dallas which offers private and group lessons at Chocolate Secrets (214-234-0165). Or you can get wine etiquette lessons from Victoria Eichor. Giver her a call at 214-219-0963. Wine. Chocolate. French. Yeah, Chocolate Secrets does romance right.
